Hartford HealthCare at Home Celebrates 115 Years

Hartford HealthCare at Home celebrated 115 years of serving the community on June 22, 2016. The event also featured years of service celebration along with these employee awards:
The Martha Wilkinson Award for Excellence in Clinical Service
This award, named after our agency’s first nurse, celebrates a nurse’s commitment to meeting the health needs of our patients. They must possess sound clinical judgment, a solid grasp of clinical functions, excellent patient/caregiver/co-worker teaching skills and a desire to motivate their team.
This year’s winner is
Amy Brown, RN, Team Manager in the Hartford Region
The Heart of the Agency Award
This award recognizes an employee who demonstrates strong support of the goals of Hartford HealthCare at Home, a caring attitude toward co-workers that helps to enhance the work environment. They must set an example for others to emulate and must help to foster Agency spirit and cooperation.
This year’s winner is
Melissa Stroh, Team Coordinator, Hospice Hartford Region
The Home Care Hero Award
A new award for the agency, this is the first time it is being awarded. This award recognizes a non-clinical employee who demonstrates a caring, supportive spirit toward co-workers and enriches the work environment of HHCAH. They must possess a consistent positive attitude, function as the go to person for many levels of employees and be able to collaborate with team members to achieve desired goals.
This year’s winner is
Sage White, Scheduler, East Region
The John N. Lewis Leadership Award
This award recognizes employees, who by their example inspire others to fulfill the mission of the Agency. They must be supportive of managers, co-workers, provide effort, inspiration and leadership to mentor staff so that staff can achieve desired goals. They must promote a positive work atmosphere; enthusiastically support the Agency and support change and forward momentum.
