Volunteers make visits to homes and/or facilities to offer companionship for patients and relief for caregivers. Volunteers usually visit once a week throughout the patient’s special journey on hospice. Examples of volunteer opportunities include reading to the patient, playing music, providing massage, reiki, certified pet therapy, veteran companionship, or by simply being a listening ear. Volunteers are also needed to assist staff in the office.
