HHC at Home Hospice Care Volunteers Needed

  • Hartford HealthCare at Home Hospice Care is looking for volunteers to help patients and their families through the difficult time of hospice care.

Volunteers from all walks of life lend hospice their rich experiences. All volunteers receive special training and embrace life daily by giving their energy, talent and dedication to our hospice patients and families.

Volunteers usually visit once a week and visit individuals on hospice care throughout their journey on hospice. Volunteers are friendly visitors for our hospice patients at home and nursing facilities. Volunteers are needed to read to patients, provide a listening ear, play music, visit with certified pet therapy teams, provide veteran companionship and provide reiki for relaxation. Volunteers are also needed to assist staff in the office.
